How we helped Alice.

Medicine
Medical Cannabis
Alice received a full medication review and was recommended different contraceptive options. She was also prescribed a medicinal cannabis oil to use when she experienced a flare up of her endometriosis. Her treatment will be reviewed regularly to track her progress.

Movement
Bespoke exercises
Alice explained to her clinician that during her period she was unable to attend to her daily tasks as she was stuck in bed. She was advised on how to manage her period symptoms conservatively with hot compresses to reduce the heaviness of her period and given a workout routine that helps relieve cramps.

Mind
Coaching
Alice was concerned that her endometriosis was affecting her work performance, as she required days of work during her period, as well as her social life as she was often stuck at home due to the pain and nausea. Furthermore, she was also concerned about how her endometriosis would affect her future fertility. Her clinician listened to her concerns and suggested that Alice partake in a course of CBT to alleviate her concerns as well as this Alice started doing yoga to help reduce her period cramps.
